Hand printed at the Bread & Puppet Press, this bold letterpress poster revives a long out-of-print design inspired by the 1980s What Is Cheap Art? manifesto.
Cheap Art is utilitarian, absurdist, and political. It was born in direct opposition to the elite art market and grew out of a movement that transformed a touring school bus into a roving gallery, offering paintings on scrap material for as little as five cents.
This poster continues that tradition: radical, accessible, and made to circulate. Printed in red ink on cream-colored paper.
